Answers to 21st-century health needs in the Central Valley and throughout the world need to come from the diversity within our communities. We need creativity, ingenuity, drive, critical thinking, and the heart to address incredible challenges.
We believe that future health-leaders, ready for 21st century challenges, are studying at UC Merced. And we've built a leadership program designed to support these aspiring leaders as they prepare for a career in benefiting our health and well-being.
Are you one of these leaders?
The pilot of Lead Pre-Health will be a semester-long cohort program that supports 30 UC Merced undergraduate students as they meet with accomplished health leaders, learn and practice vital leadership skills, and grapple with health challenges in our communities. In order to participate, students must:
be pursuing a Pre-Health and/or Public Health profession
be in their second-to-last year at UC Merced
have at least a 3.0 GPA
be willing to commit to the fullness of program requirements and activities for the duration of the
