Bobcat Leadership Seminar
| 6-week program
The Bobcat Leadership Seminar (BLS) is ideal for students interested in exploring their identities as leaders
and becoming more involved at UC Merced and beyond. This program welcomes students at all stages of their
leadership journey — from first-year students to graduate students and even local entrepreneurs.
EMPOWER: Womxn & Ally Leadership Development Program
| 6-week program
EMPOWER is a 6-week leadership development program for UC Merced students who identify as womxn and allies.
Participants gain practical strategies for leadership and advocacy, focusing on confidence-building and
equitable leadership practices.
Topics include communicating with confidence, negotiation skills, decision-making for womxn in leadership,
and more.
Bobcat Ignite Program
| 6-week program
The Bobcat Ignite Program (IGNITE) is designed for students currently holding leadership roles such as
cabinet members, RCO leaders, student staff, residence assistants, and other positional leaders.
This program supports current leaders in refining their skills, navigating challenges, and taking
their leadership to the next level.
Yosemite Leadership Program
| 2-year program
The Yosemite Leadership Program (YLP) is a two-year immersive experience focused on leadership development
and personal growth. While the program emphasizes environmental leadership, it explores leadership across
all industries and fields.
Students of all majors and interests are encouraged to apply. YLP is a partnership with Yosemite National
Park and the Margo F. Souza Student Leadership Center and is supported by the Yosemite Conservancy.
