The Margo F. Souza Student Leadership Center's Student Advisory Board consists of student leaders who are engaged in leadership across campus. Our board members provide us with guidance to ensure that our office's initiatives are student-centered and relevant. Our board members meet once per month to provide advice and feedback.
Additionally, our Student Advisory Board also assists with events, including the annual UC Merced Student Leadership Conference, UC Merced Leadership Week, & UC Merced Leadership Awards. We are grateful for the time & dedication of our talented, passionate, and dedicated Board members!
Role Description:
- Provide thoughtful feedback regarding Souza Leadership Center programs and initiatives.
- Promote student leadership opportunities for UC Merced students and encourage students to engage in leadership.
- Celebrate students' leadership journey
- Create new ideas and self-led projecs, as appropriate and as a team.
Responsibilities:
- Attend 1-hour Student Advisory Board meetings once per month.
- Commitment to completing small tasks outside of meeting hours.
- Bring stories, ideas, and opportunities from member's networks of influence to rest of the team.
- Brainstorm themes and topics relevant to student population.
- Interact and represent diverse student populations
- Work as a team to build community
- Contribute and share your leadership skills and experiences to provide diverse thoughts and opinions.
