2022 Deadline: January 3rd  |  2022 Dates: May 15th – May 26

This all-expenses-paid immersive business and career leadership experience is designed for undergraduate students currently enrolled as sophomores or juniors at an HBCU or HSI. SIEML alumni are eligible for up to two years of full fee and tuition fellowships at any of the six University of California graduate business schools.

Applicants who meet the following criteria are invited to apply:

  • Students enrolled at a four-year HBCU or HSI with sophomore or junior standing
  • Transfer-ready California HSI community college students planning to enroll in a four-year institution
  • U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or undocumented students with AB540 or DACA status
  • All majors welcome with an interest in graduate business education
  • Applicants are encouraged to have a GPA of 3.0 or higher

New Leaders Council (Oakland, San Francisco, Sacramento, & Los Angeles)

New Leaders Council (NLC) is a national hub for progressive millennial leadership development. Through its six-month NLC Institute, participants gain skills to run for office, manage campaigns, build organizations, and lead social change initiatives. Unlike short-term leadership programs, NLC provides an intensive learning experience paired with a lifetime alumni network.

Girl Rising is a global nonprofit dedicated to advancing girls’ education through storytelling. The Future Rising Fellowship is a year-long program supporting young leaders working at the intersection of climate action and gender justice. Fellows strengthen leadership and storytelling skills while joining an international network committed to building a just and sustainable future.
