The Summer Institute for Emerging Managers and Leaders (Los Angeles, CA)

APPLICATION CLOSED

This all-expenses-paid leadership and business development program hosted by the University of California provides undergraduate students with workshops, networking opportunities, and exposure to graduate business education.

Main Requirements:

  • Sophomore or junior at an HBCU or HSI
  • Transfer-ready HSI community college students planning to attend a four-year institution
  • U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or undocumented with AB540/DACA status
  • Any major interested in graduate business education
  • Recommended GPA of 3.0 or higher
New Leaders Council (Oakland, San Francisco, Sacramento & Los Angeles)

The New Leaders Council Institute is a six-month leadership development program focused on civic engagement, advocacy, and social change. Participants gain skills in organizing, policy, communications, and leadership while joining a national alumni network.

Main Requirements:

  • Interest in civic leadership, advocacy, or public service
  • Commitment to the six-month leadership institute
  • Ability to attend local program sessions
  • Interest in building community impact initiatives
Girl Rising: Future Rising Fellowship

NOT ACCEPTING FELLOWS CURRENTLY

The Future Rising Fellowship is a global leadership program supporting young leaders working at the intersection of climate action and gender equity. Fellows receive mentorship, storytelling training, and funding to develop projects that amplify girls’ voices and drive social change.

Main Requirements:

  • NOT ACCEPTING FELLOWS CURRENTLY
  • Age 17–25
  • Interest in climate justice or gender equality
  • Commitment to participate in a year-long fellowship
  • Ability to participate in virtual workshops and collaboration
